Matthew 18:2 “And He [Jesus] said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.’” Pray that the Zarma, with childlike faith, would accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
The vision for Pray for Niger is to see the gospel message spread to all Nigeriens. Our key focus is on the Zarma as they are a people of great influence politically, socially, and economically. Pray that the name of Jesus would be made famous among the Zarma and all the people of Niger.
In Matthew 10 and Luke 10 Jesus sends out the 12 disciples and he also sends out 72 disciples and instructs them to find People of Peace and to remain with them and proclaim that the Kingdom of God is near. Pray that God will reveal those People of Peace and that they would hear the message of Christ and begin to take the Gospel to their very own people.
Luke 22:44 “And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.” Lord, help us to pray earnestly and expectantly. We anticipate your answers, as we know we pray to the God who hears.
100% of church multiplication movements had extraordinary prayer. Prayer brings the heart of man into agreement with the heart of God. His will, established and waiting in heaven, is manifest on earth as we say yes! Pray Your Kingdom come Lord, to Niger as it is in heaven!
Matthew 17:22 “When they came together in Galilee, He said to them, ‘The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill Him, and on the third day He will be raised to life.’ And the disciples were filled with grief.” Pray that the Zarma will come to a full understanding of Christ’s redemptive work through his death and resurrection.
The vision of the Pray for Niger global prayer movement is to have thousands of Christ followers praying daily for the gospel to spread in Niger. Pray for an ever-increasing number of prayer warriors as this effort expands. Spread the word to those you believe might like to join in!
Pray for a young Muslim man we will call “Solomon.” He had an injury 6 years ago and is still fighting infection and disease. He is a gentle and sweet young man, and is a Person of Peace within his group and community. As we share our lives and the life of Christ with this man, would you pray for his spiritual healing, but please also pray with us for a miraculous physical healing.
Nehemiah 9:6 “You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.” Pray that the Nigerien people realize that the God who created everything is worthy of their worship.
Matthew 17:12b “So also the son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.” Pray that the Zarma would come to a full knowledge of the sufferings of Christ, understanding that He endured these things for forgiveness of their sins and the promise of eternal life.
Pray for groups that are facing persecution. Even though these groups have not yet accepted Christ, the sheer fact that they are trying to mobilize and multiply others to do good things in their community is causing those around them to persecute and abandon them. Pray that these groups would persevere and continue the work in front of them and that the People of Peace in these groups would turn their lives over to Christ and begin multiplying disciples of Jesus in their community.
All church multiplication movements have submitted themselves to the authority of God’s Word. Pray for Nigerien Christians to have a passion for God’s Word. Pray God’s Word will become more available and that people will submit themselves to it.
Matthew 16:15-16 “He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’” Pray that all Zarma would one day testify that Jesus is “the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Pray for “A.M.” a Muslim man who has a very open heart to the gospel and to development within his community. Pray that he would have boldness with other groups in his community and that he would see the need to multiply and mobilize those around him. Most importantly, pray for his salvation and that he would boldly choose to follow Christ.
