07 Aug infection to amputation

Pray for “Adam,” a Tuareg man who has been visiting with a church planter and daily listening to the Bible in Tamasheq.  A month ago, he showed the church planter a small infected sore on his foot.  When the church planter visited him after returning from 3 weeks of traveling to visit pastors and churches, he was alarmed to see that the disease had spread across Adam’s foot and up his leg.  His foot was black and several of his toes had fallen off.  Adam finally visited a doctor and was told that amputation was his only option, but he refused.

Priez pour “Adam,” un homme Touareg qui rend visite à un planteur d’église et qui écoute la Bible en Tamajeq.  Un mois auparavant, il a montré au planteur d’église un petit bouton infecté sur son pied.  Quand le planteur d’église l’a visité après qu’il soit de retour d’un voyage au cours duquel il a rendu visite à des pasteurs et à des églises, il était stupéfait de voir que la maladie s’est répandue sur tout le pied d’Adam et a même atteint sa jambe.  Son pied était devenu noir et certains de ses orteils étaient tombés.  En fin de compte, Adam a consulté un médecin qui lui a dit qu’il ne restait qu’une seule option : amputer la jambe, ce qu’il a refusé.
