11 Dec beaten for her faith

Pray for “Yolana,” a 71-year-old woman who was never able to have children but lived in a close community with her extended family. When some women from a neighboring village visited her village to share the Good News, Yolana was amazed and soon decided to accept Christ.

When her siblings heard that she had become a Christian, they confronted her and beat her. They hit her so hard on the neck that she became blind.

• Pray for Yolana that she would be comforted by Christ and would be encouraged by the church.
• Pray that her family would recognize their sin, repent, and follow Christ.

Priez pour “Yolana”, une femme de 71 ans qui n’a pas pu avoir d’enfants mais qui a vécu en vase-clos au sein de la communauté, avec les membres de sa famille élargie. Quand certaines femmes étaient venues d’un autre village pour apporter la Bonne Nouvelle à son village, Yolana était émerveillée et a aussitôt après décidé d’accepter Christ.

Quand ses frères et sœurs ont appris qu’elle est devenue Chrétienne, ils l’ont confronté et l’ont battue. Ils l’ont frappé si violemment au cou à tel point qu’elle est devenue aveugle.

• Priez pour que Yolana soit réconfortée par Christ et qu’elle soit encouragée par l’église.
• Priez pour que les membres de sa famille reconnaissent leur péché, se repentent et suivent Christ.
