Praying with insight

Islam teaches that deception under certain circumstances is acceptable, and the effects of this teaching breeds mistrust—of God and of others. But the Bible tells us, “Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator”. (Colossians 3:9-10)

Pray for the people of Niger to be people who pursue truth to such an extent that they no longer need to swear in order for people to believe them. May they be able to simply let their ‘yes’ be ‘yes’ and their ‘no’ be ‘no’.

For the lost

Pray for “Mufasa,” who once accepted Christ and served the Lord but has since walked away from his faith. In the years that followed, he has endured great suffering—experiencing divorce, relocating to Agadez, and now living in Niamey with his mother. He is struggling both physically and mentally and is not doing well.

His Christian brother has shown him forgiveness and helped him repeatedly, yet he wrestles with frustration, as Mufasa is often dishonest and two-faced. Despite this, his brother strongly believes that God is calling him to continue praying for Mufasa and speaking truth into his life.

• Pray that Mufasa would repent and return wholeheartedly to Christ.
• Ask that God would restore him, transforming him into a man of wisdom and integrity, known for his truth and faithfulness.

Prier avec perspicacité

L’islam enseigne que la tromperie est acceptable dans certaines circonstances, et les effets de cet enseignement engendrent la méfiance – à l’égard de Dieu et des autres. Mais la Bible nous dit : « Ne vous mentez pas les uns aux autres, car vous vous êtes dépouillés de l’homme que vous étiez autrefois avec tous ses agissements, et vous vous êtes revêtus de l’homme nouveau. Celui-ci se renouvelle pour être l’image de son Créateur » (Colossiens 3:9-10) BDS Priez pour que les habitants de Niger soient des personnes qui cherchent la vérité à tel point qu’elles n’aient plus besoin de jurer pour qu’on les croie. Que leur « oui » soit « oui » et leur « non » soit « non ».

Pour les perdus

Priez pour « Mufasa, » qui a accepté le Christ et servi le Seigneur, mais qui s’est éloigné de sa foi depuis. Au cours des années qui ont suivi, il a enduré de grandes souffrances : il a divorcé, s’est installé à Agadez et vit maintenant à Niamey avec sa mère. Il ne va pas bien ni physiquement, ni mentalement.

Son frère chrétien lui a montré du pardon et l’a aidé à plusieurs reprises, mais il est frustré, car Mufasa est souvent malhonnête et a deux visages. Malgré cela, son frère croit fermement que Dieu l’appelle à continuer à prier pour Mufasa et à dire la vérité dans sa vie.

• Priez pour que Mufasa se repente et revienne de tout cœur à Christ.
• Demandez à Dieu de le restaurer et de le transformer en un homme sage et intègre, connu pour sa sincérité et sa fidélité.
