17 May Life in Niger

During Ramadan, most Nigeriens fast from sun-up to sundown for 40 days. During this time, they seek to earn favor from Allah in hopes that he might allow them to be blessed. Please pray that the One True God would speak to the Nigerien people during the time of Ramadan. Pray that they will come to know a God that does not expect His people to earn eternal life through their human efforts. Pray that they would choose to accept Christ who is the only assurance for eternal life.

Pendant le Ramadan, la plupart des Nigériens jeûnent du matin au soir pendant 40 jours. Pendant ce temps, ils cherchent à gagner la faveur d’Allah dans l’espoir qu’il leur permette d’être bénis. Priez pour que le Dieu Vrai et Unique puisse parler au peuple nigérien pendant le temps du Ramadan. Priez pour qu’ils connaissent un Dieu qui ne s’attend pas à ce que son peuple gagne la vie éternelle à travers ses propres efforts. Priez pour qu’ils choisissent d’accepter le Christ qui est la seule assurance pour la vie éternelle.
