Praise the God Who Makes All Things New

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Pray for a Nigerien Believer

Although “Garret’s” life has changed drastically since accepting Christ, he continues to struggle to control his anger. He earnestly asks for prayer that he would learn to control his anger and be quick to repent when he fails. Praise God for Garret’s repentant heart and his desire to be more like Christ.

• Pray that Garret would strive to be slow to anger.
• Pray that Garret would be a man of compassion, patience, and love.
• Pray that God would use Garret’s zeal, passion, and fire to accomplish mighty things for the Kingdom.

Cultural Petition

Although Nigerien Muslims fast, pray, give alms to the poor, and strive to please Allah, they have no guarantee that Allah will give them eternal life.

Pray that the people of Niger would hear about Jesus, who was sacrificed on behalf of all people and who graciously offers eternal life to all who accept Him.

Intercede on Behalf of the Lost

While sitting next to a Hausa woman in a busy clinic, “Mamata” initiated a conversation by asking if she was a Christian. When the woman responded that she was a Christian, Mamata stated that she could tell because Christians are different: they serve others and they are patient.

Mamata is a widow with four young children and lives with her mother. She has maintained a friendship with the Christian woman that she met at the clinic and remains open to the Gospel.

Pray that Mamata would choose to be “different” from those around her and place her trust in Jesus Christ.

• Pray that the Nigerien church would have the grace to cherish the name of Jesus Christ above all else.
• Pray that Nigerien believers would be equipped to endure any measure of suffering or challenge, rather than see an obstacle placed in the way of the Gospel.
• Although the challenges and obstacles to the advancement of the Gospel in Niger are many, ask the Lord to faithfully bear the fruit of glory from the tree of suffering.

Bien que la vie de Garret a changé de façon dramatique depuis qu’il a accepté Christ, il continue de lutter pour retenir sa colère. Il demande de tout son cœur que l’on prie pour qu’il apprenne à contenir sa colère et qu’il se repente vite quand il trébuche.

Louez Dieu pour le cœur repentant de Garret et son désir de ressembler davantage à Christ.

Pendant qu’elle était assise à côté d’une femme Hausa dans une Clinique bondée, Mamata a commencé une conversation avec elle en lui demandant si elle est Chrétienne. Quand la femme a répondu qu’elle l’était en effet, Mamata a dit qu’elle pouvait effectivement le remarquer parce que les Chrétiens sont différents : ils servent les autres et ils sont patients. Mamata est une veuve ayant quatre petits-enfants et elle vit avec sa mère. Elle s’est noué d’amitié avec la femme Chrétienne qu’elle a rencontrée à la clinique et elle reste ouverte à l’Evangile.

Priez pour que Mamata choisisse d’être ‘’différente’’ des personnes de son entourage et place sa confiance en Jésus-Christ.

Priez avec Assurance en vous Appuyant sur l’Ecriture

“ Si d’autres jouissent de ce droit sur vous, n’est pas plutôt à nous d’en jouir ? Mais nous n’avons point usé de ce droit, au contraire, nous souffrons tout, afin de ne pas créer d’obstacles à l’Evangile de Christ.” 1 Corinthiens 9:12

Priez pour que l’église Nigérienne manifeste la grâce de chérir le nom de Jésus Christ au-dessus de tout autre nom.

Priez pour que les croyants Nigériens soient équipés pour persévérer au milieu de toutes les souffrances et des défis plutôt que de voir en ces choses un frein à l’Evangile. Bien que les défis et les obstacles à l’avancement de l’Evangile au Niger sont nombreux, demandez au Seigneur de permettre que l’arbre de la souffrance porte du fruit pour Sa gloire.
