In communities where disciple making movements have occurred, the missionary and expatriate community have maintained a low profile. Pray that those serving in Niger would train local people to share the gospel within their community. Pray that as they disciple new believers, the new believers would engage their communities for Christ.

Dans les communautés où des mouvements de disciples se sont produits, les missionnaires et les expatriés ont souvent adopté un profil bas. Priez pour que ceux qui servent au Niger forment les gens de la région à partager l’évangile avec leur communauté. Priez pour afin que pendant que les nouveaux croyants sont formés, ils engageraient leurs communautés pour le Christ.

05 Jul refuses to believe

Pray for “S,” a man who has heard the Gospel for many years, but has refused to believe. Although many of his children are walking with the Lord, his heart has remained hardened towards the Gospel. Recently, his second wife left him and a close family member passed away. In the midst of these difficulties, he has been more open to the Gospel. Pray that the Lord would speak to “S” and use his children to show him the love of Jesus Christ.

Priez pour “S,” un homme qui a entendu l’Evangile depuis plusieurs années, mais a refusé de croire. Bien que plusieurs de ses enfants marchent avec le Seigneur, son cœur est resté endurci envers l’Evangile. Priez pour que le Seigneur puisse parler à “S” et qu’Il se serve de ses enfants pour lui montrer l’amour de Jésus Christ.

According to the CIA World Factbook, almost 70% of the Niger populace is under the age of 25. Gender inequality, including a lack of educational opportunities for women and early marriage and childbirth, also contributes to high population growth.

Pray for the youth of Niger.
Pray that they would break free of the past customs and expectations.
Pray that the youth of Niger would be changed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ.

Selon le World Factbook de la CIA, près de 70% de la population du Niger a moins de 25 ans. L’inégalité entre les sexes, y compris le manque de possibilités d’éducation pour les femmes, le mariage et l’accouchement précoces, contribue également à une forte croissance démographique.

Priez pour la jeunesse du Niger.
Priez pour qu’ils se libèrent des coutumes et attentes passées.
Priez pour que les jeunes du Niger soient changés par le nom puissant de Jésus-Christ.

Pray for the Tuaregs of Niger as they are scattered throughout the land. Through difficult access, our God knows their place in the desert. Pray that the workers among this nomadic people group will have wisdom in accessing and building relationships with these souls.

Priez pour les Touaregs du Niger qui sont dispersés un peu partout dans le pays. Malgré l’accès qui y est souvent difficile, notre Dieu connait les lieux où ils se trouvent. Priez pour des travailleurs qui irons atteindre ce peuple nomade et priez pour la sagesse nécessaire pour les aborder et construire des relations.

Pray that all believers would pursue their role within the body of Christ. Pray that all Nigerien believers would consistently strive for spiritual maturity and intimacy with Christ.

Prayer is an essential element to our christian lives and our personal walk with God. Prayer is also foundational for CPM’s (Church Planting Movements). If we want to see churches multiply in Niger we need a multitude of people praying for Niger and the people who live there. Pray that many people around the world would make praying for Niger a priority.

La prière est un élément essentiel de notre vie chrétienne et notre marche personnelle avec Dieu. La prière est également fondamentale pour le CPM (Church Planting Movements). Si nous voulons que les églises se multiplient au Niger, nous avons besoin d’une multitude de personnes qui prient pour le Niger et ses habitants. Priez pour que beaucoup de personnes dans le monde fassent de la prière pour le Niger une priorité.

Tuaregs are known for their business prowess. Their work often affects many and they have much more power in Niger and North Africa than many realize. Pray that God would grab hold of these hearts and that their earthly power would translate into eternal passion for the glory of God and the fame of Jesus Christ.

Les Touaregs sont connus pour leur bon sens des affaires. Leur travail affecte souvent beaucoup de personnes et ils ont bien plus de pouvoir au Niger et en Afrique du Nord qu’on ne le croirait. Priez que Dieu puisse prendre possession de leurs cœurs et que le pouvoir terrestre de ce peuple puisse se transformer en passion éternelle pour la gloire de Dieu et contribuer au reconnu du Christ.

- Pray that she will be motivated to share her faith with her peers and friends from school.
- Pray that the Lord would give her wisdom, strengthen her faith, and increase her understanding and knowledge of God’s word.

In the book Church Planting Movements, David Garrison states that within church planting movements, it is necessary that on the job training for church leadership takes place. Pray that churches will start all over the country of Niger and that young leaders would rise up to lead their neighbors to Christ.

According to UNICEF’s “State of the World’s Children,” 81.6% of Nigerien children between the age of 2-14 have experienced violent discipline within the last month. Please pray that Nigeriens would accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and that in turn, they would love, encourage, and bless their children as Christ loves the church.

Selon «La Situation des Enfants dans le Monde» de l’UNICEF, 81,6% des enfants nigériens âgés de 2 à 14 ans ont connu une discipline violente au cours du dernier mois. Priez pour que les nigériens acceptent Jésus-Christ comme leur Seigneur et leur Sauveur et qu’ils aiment, encouragent et bénissent leurs enfants comme Christ aime l’Église.

Pray for “F”, a new believer amongst an unreached people group in Niger. In the past, “F” struggled with dark moments when she would laugh and cry uncontrollably and suffer great pain. Her muslim family would frequently visit witch doctors to seek cures. When “F” became a Christian, her younger sister began praying over her in the name of Jesus and since then she has not experienced any more incidences of this kind. Pray that the Lord God would consume “F”, that she would grow in faith, endurance, and understanding as she pursues Christ with her whole life.

Priez pour “F”, un nouveau converti qui vit au milieu d’un peuple non atteint au Niger. Dans le passé, ‘’F’’ a connu des épisodes très fâcheux où elle se mettait à rire et à crier de façon incontrôlable et souffrait des douleurs atroces. Sa famille qui est musulmane consultait fréquemment les charlatans dans le but de trouver un remède. Lorsque ‘’F’’ a accepté Christ, sa sœur cadette a commencé à prier pour elle au nom de Jésus et depuis lors elle n’a plus connu d’incidents de ce genre. Priez pour que le Seigneur prenne entièrement possession de la vie de ‘’F’’, qu’elle grandisse dans la foi, dans l’endurance et dans la compréhension pendant qu’elle poursuit Christ de tout son être.

20 Jun abuse is normal

Abuse is too often a normal part of life in Niger. One man stated that he did not know a man in Niger who did not beat his wife.

- Pray that the people of Niger would not stand for sin and hatred towards others.
- Pray that as they become Christians, they would let go of the sinful practices that are so deeply embedded in their culture.

Les abus font souvent partie du lot qui constitue le quotidien au Niger. Un homme a affirmé qu’il ne connaissait pas d’homme au Niger qui n’a pas battu sa femme.

- Priez pour que les populations du Niger ne se livrent pas au péché les uns contre les autres et qu’ils n’aient pas de haine les uns contre les autres.
- Priez pour qu’ils deviennent Chrétiens et qu’ils abandonnent les pratiques iniques qui se sont enracinées dans leur culture.

Pray for “A,” a faithful Christian woman who continues to endure great persecution at the hands of her husband.

- Pray that she would persevere in patience and grace in order that she might be a witness to her husband.
- Pray that the Lord would provide an opportunity for her to better provide for her children when her husband refuses to provide food or money for her or her children.
- Pray that she will lead her children in pursuit of Christ no matter the cost.

Priez pour qu’elle persévère dans la patience et dans la grâce dans le but qu’elle soit une témoin pour son mari.
Priez pour que le Seigneur lui accorde une opportunité pour qu’elle parvienne à mieux subvenir aux besoins de ses enfants lorsque son mari refuse de leur donner à manger ou de l’argent (elle et ses enfants).
Priez pour qu’elle amène ses enfants à suivre Christ quel que soit le prix.

100% des mouvements de multiplication de l’église avaient une prière extraordinaire pour base. La prière met le cœur de l’homme en accord avec le cœur de Dieu. Sa volonté, établie dans le ciel est en attente de se manifester sur la terre quand on Lui dit oui! Priez, et dites : Que Ton règne vienne au Niger comme au ciel!

According to UNICEF’s “State of the World’s Children,” 30.5% of Nigerien children aged 5-14 are engaged in child labor. Pray for the children of Niger who begin begging or working at an early age. Pray that they would come to know the love of their Heavenly Father who delights in them and provides for them.

Sophie is a faithful Christian who has lived in Niger for many years. She has a passion for pouring into the lives of young women and raising them up to boldly to pursue Christ.

- Pray that the Lord would continue to draw young women to Sophie. Pray that she would boldly proclaim the Gospel and lead these women to Christ.
- Pray that Sophie will have discernment as she leads and disciples these young women.

Sophie est une Chrétienne fidèle qui a vécu au Niger pendant plusieurs années. Elle a une passion pour s’investir dans la vie des jeunes femmes et les relever pour poursuivre Christ avec ardeur.

Pray for breakthrough, that individuals will soon find powerful ways to engage entire families simultaneously with the Gospel; that whole families might come to the Lord at once and benefit greatly from their long-term relational support.

La plupart des mouvements de multiplication de l’église ont eu des modèles de conversion basés sur la famille. Priez pour une percée afin que des individus trouvent bientôt de puissants moyens de convertir simultanément des familles entières à l’Évangile; Toutes les familles pourraient venir au Seigneur en même temps et bénéficier largement de leur soutien mutuel à long terme.

Pray for the Bible schools that have been started among the Gourmanche people. Many women and men are being equipped with a knowledge of God’s Word. Pray that they would be given the vision accompanied by the courage to take what they know and boldly proclaim the Gospel regardless of the cost.

“For waters to break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert; the burning sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water.”(Isaiah 35:6-7)

Pray that the place of scorching sand (spiritually) would become a place of refreshment and life.

« Car des eaux jailliront dans le désert, et des ruisseaux dans la solitude ; le mirage se changera en étang et la terre desséchée en sources d’eaux » (Esaïe 35 :6-7).

Priez que cet endroit de terre desséchée (spirituellement) devienne un lieu de rafraîchissement et de vie.

10 Jun family of faith

Pray for a Fulani family living in the Abalak region of Niger. Several of the family members have recently accepted Christ. They are enthusiastic about growing in their faith and delight in listening to God’s word and sharing what they are learning. The family is illiterate and would love to learn to read in order that they might better study God’s Word and share the Truth of the Gospel with their neighbors.

- Pray that they will have an opportunity to participate in literacy training.
- Pray that they will grow in their knowledge and understanding of Christ as they listen to their Bibles and share as a family.

Priez pour une famille Peule qui réside dans la région d’Abalak du Niger. Plusieurs des membres de cette famille ont récemment accepté Christ. Ils sont pleins d’enthousiasme pour la croissance de leur foi et aiment écouter la Parole de Dieu et partager ceux qu’ils ont appris. La famille est analphabète et aimerait lire dans le but de pouvoir mieux étudier la Parole de Dieu et partager la Vérité de l’Evangile avec leurs voisins.

Priez pour qu’ils aient une opportunité pour participer à la formation sur l’alphabétisation.
Priez pour qu’ils grandissent dans leur connaissance et leur compréhension de Christ pendant qu’ils écoutent leurs Bibles et partagent en famille.

Pray for “D,” a Fulani man who recently accepted Christ. Pray as he returns to his village in hopes of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with his family and neighbors. Pray that they would all choose to submit their lives to Christ.

Pray for “A” a very close friend of a Nigerien believer who has heard the Gospel of Christ for many years. Although he no longer considers himself a Muslim, he has not yet decided to follow Christ.

- Pray that the Lord would soften “A’s” heart that he would be open to receiving the Gospel of Christ.
- Pray that his Christian friend would not grow weary in testifying to the Gospel of Christ.

Priez pour “A”, un très proche ami d’un Chrétien Nigérien qui a entendu l’Evangile de Christ depuis plusieurs années. Bien qu’il ne se considère plus comme Musulman, il n’a pas encore décidé de suivre Christ.

Priez pour que le Seigneur rende le cœur de ‘’A’’ tendre pour qu’il soit ouvert et disposé à recevoir l’Evangile de Christ.
Priez pour que son ami Chrétien ne se fatigue pas dans la proclamation de l’Evangile de Christ.

At the end of Ramadan, there is a great feast as they break the month of fasting.

Pray that this would be the last feast of Ramadan for many Nigeriens.
Pray that they would accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and anxiously anticipate the wedding feast of the Kingdom of Heaven.

La fin du Ramadan est sanctionnée par une grande fête, marquant la fin du jeûne.

Priez pour que cette fête soit la dernière fête de Ramadan pour beaucoup de Nigériens.
Priez pour qu’ils acceptent Jésus-Christ comme Sauveur et Seigneur et qu’ils anticipent avec empressement de prendre part aux noces du Royaume des Cieux.

Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Pray that the weary and heavy laden would find rest in Jesus Christ.

Matthieu 11:28-30 “Venez à moi, vous qui êtes fatigués et chargés, et je vous donnerai du repos. Prenez mon joug sur vous et recevez mes instructions, car je suis doux et humble de cœur ; et vous trouverez du repos pour vos âmes. Car mon joug est doux et mon fardeau léger.”

Priez pour que ceux qui sont fatigués et chargés trouvent le repos en Jésus-Christ.

Pray for the young teenagers who are expected to fast during Ramadan. Many are exhausted as they go to school in extremely hot classrooms without air-conditioning and sometimes without even fans. Pray that the Lord would call these young people to himself and that they would find refuge in Jesus Christ.

Priez pour les jeunes adolescents qui sont censés observer le jeûne pendant le Ramadan. Beaucoup d’entre eux sont épuisés comme ils vont à l’école dans des classes où la température est extrêmement élevée, non climatisées et parfois même sans ventilateurs. Priez pour que le Seigneur appelle ces jeunes personnes à lui-même et qu’elles trouvent refuge en Jésus-Christ.

Pray for “S,” a hard-working, devoted Muslim who works with several Christians. Pray that in the midst of her weariness as a result of fasting, she would hear the Lord calling her. Pray that she will be responsive to the Gospel and be forever changed.

Priez pour “S,” une Musulman dévouée et laborieuse et qui travaille avec plusieurs Chrétiens. Priez pour qu’au milieu de son épuisement, conséquence du jeune qu’elle observe, elle entende l’appel du Seigneur pour qu’elle vienne à Lui. Priez pour qu’elle soit réceptive à l’Evangile et qu’elle soit transformée pour toujours.

Last year, three suicide bombers killed 10 people at a mosque in Niger’s southeastern city of Diffa during Ramadan. Muslim extremists have targeted not only Christians in Niger, but also Muslims that they believe do not submit to all the teachings of the Qur’an.

Pray for all Muslims.
Pray that they would turn to a God who loves everyone and who desires that none would perish.

L’année passée, trois kamikazes se sont faits explosés et ont tué 10 personnes dans une mosquée dans la ville de Diffa située au sud-est du pays pendant le Ramadan. Des extrémistes Musulmans ont ciblé non seulement les Chrétiens au Niger, mais aussi les Musulmans qu’ils estiment ne pas être soumis aux enseignements du Coran.

Priez pour tous les Musulmans.
Priez pour qu’ils se tournent vers un Dieu qui aime tout le monde et ne veut que nul ne périsse.
