11 Jan DMM – Local Leadership
100% of church multiplication movements depended upon local leadership. Pray for Niger’s Christian leaders, asking God to give them a vision for all He desires for His church in their land.

Matthew 17:12b “So also the son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.” Pray that the Zarma would come to a full knowledge of the sufferings of Christ, understanding that He endured these things for forgiveness of their sins and the promise of eternal life.
Pray for groups that are facing persecution. Even though these groups have not yet accepted Christ, the sheer fact that they are trying to mobilize and multiply others to do good things in their community is causing those around them to persecute and abandon them. Pray that these groups would persevere and continue the work in front of them and that the People of Peace in these groups would turn their lives over to Christ and begin multiplying disciples of Jesus in their community.
Pray for unreached people groups of Niger. Pray that strong local churches will be raised up among the Fulani.
Jude 1:21 “Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.” Pray for the faithfulness of the Nigerien Christians throughout their lives until death.
All church multiplication movements have submitted themselves to the authority of God’s Word. Pray for Nigerien Christians to have a passion for God’s Word. Pray God’s Word will become more available and that people will submit themselves to it.
Matthew 16:15-16 “He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’” Pray that all Zarma would one day testify that Jesus is “the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Pray for “A.M.” a Muslim man who has a very open heart to the gospel and to development within his community. Pray that he would have boldness with other groups in his community and that he would see the need to multiply and mobilize those around him. Most importantly, pray for his salvation and that he would boldly choose to follow Christ.
Pray for unreached people groups of Niger. The largest among them, with a population nearing 9 million, is the Hausa. Ask the Lord to send long-term laborers to live among the Hausa and share the love of Christ with them.
Ephesians 1:13 “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.” Pray earnestly that the Nigerien people are open to accept Christ and have the assurance of the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Most church multiplication movements have had family based conversion patterns. Pray for breakthrough, that individuals will soon find powerful ways to engage entire families simultaneously with the Gospel; that whole families might come to the Lord at once and benefit greatly from their long-term relational support.
Matthew 16:6 “And Jesus said to them, “Watch out and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Pray that the Zarma would recognize false teaching and come to a full understanding of the Gospel.
It’s Monday…ONE day! Would you please send an email to ONE praying friend, asking him/her to consider signing up for daily, strategic, brief prayer emails at www.PrayforNiger.org? Make sure he/she knows that a Disciple Making Movement has never happened except in the midst of extraordinary prayer. In other words, make sure your friend knows how eternally important his/her contribution of prayer will be! Thank you for sharing the opportunity to pray for Niger.
Pray of “O”, a young handicapped boy. Pray that God would continue to use the training and therapy he is receiving to help him continue in his development. May God receive the glory for all the miraculous things He has done and will do in this young boys life.
Pray for unreached people groups of Niger. Ask God to raise up prayer teams who will begin breaking up the spiritual soil of Niger through worship and intercession for the key people groups of this country.
Isaiah 14:9 “The realm of the dead below is all astir to meet you at your coming; it rouses the spirits of the departed to greet you—all those who were leaders in the world; it makes them rise from their thrones—all those who were kings over the nations.” Pray that the Nigerien people will not fear death and spirits, but trust in Christ, who will come again for them.
Most church multiplication movements in history were marked by bold fearless faith. Ask God to empower Nigerien Christians to echo and live the prayer of early church believers in Acts 4:29-30… “And now, Lord, look upon their hearts and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
Matthew 15:30-31 “And large crowds came to Him [Jesus], bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, mute, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and He healed them. So the crowd marveled as they saw the mute speaking, the crippled restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.” Pray that the Zarma will glorify the God of Israel as they see needs met in His name.
Pray for Christian marriages in Niger. Women are typically treated very poorly and like 2nd class citizens. Pray that the presence and example of Christian marriages in Niger would literally impact the culture and draw hearts to the perfect Bridegroom, Jesus.
Pray for unreached people groups of Niger. The Taureg are among them. Pray that Missions agencies and churches will accept the challenge of adopting and reaching the Tuareg.
Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” Today pray that the power of the gospel will change the hearts of the Nigerien people and bring them to the Lord.
Every church multiplication movement in history has had rapid reproduction, appropriate for the true urgency of the world knowing Christ. Pray God gives discernment to Christians in Niger, that they might pursue the essence of the church. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Matthew 15:28 “Then Jesus answered, her, ‘O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire.’ And her daughter was healed instantly.” Pray that the Zarma would come to faith in Jesus Christ and hear Him say, “Great is your faith!”
Multiple media distribution outlets such as email, Twitter, Facebook and others are being utilized for the Pray for Niger global prayer movement. Pray that these outlets will be effective in reaching thousands of faithful prayer warriors who will commit to lift the people of Niger to the throne of God.
