Isaiah 9:2 “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” Pray that the Nigerien people will embrace the light and truth of Jesus.
Every church multiplication movement in history has had churches planting churches (not just missionaries or a few believers planting churches). Consider joining John Piper’s prayer: “Lord, cause this revolution to turn Niger into the Antioch of West Africa and raise up a thousand powerful Pauls.”
Matthew 15:10 “And he called the people to him and said to them, “Hear and understand: it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a person, but what comes out of the mouth; this defiles a person.” Pray that the Zarma would turn from Muslim rituals to true relationship with Jesus Christ; that their mouths would speak, from the overflow of their hearts, that which honors the Lord.
The vision for Pray for Niger is to see the gospel message spread to all Nigeriens. Our key focus is on the Zarma as they are a people of great influence politically, socially, and economically. Pray that the name of Jesus would be made famous among the Zarma and all the people of Niger.
Pray for unreached people groups of Niger. Niger has a population of over 19 million people; among them are the Fulani. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send African Christians to demonstrate the love of Christ to the Fulani people.
Proverbs 31:30 “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Pray that the Nigerien women will find their beauty and worth in Jesus.
All church multiplication movements have depended upon lay leadership. Ask God to raise up and provide for more and more lay leaders for His church and that people wouldn’t rely on just a few “pastors” to do the work.
Matthew 14:19-20a “Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. And they all ate and were satisfied.” Pray that the Zarma would come to know Jesus who longs to satisfy their soul hunger.
Pray for unreached people groups of Niger. Pray that the traditional Muslim culture of the Hausa will soften, creating open doors for the Gospel to be preached among them.
Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful on the mountains [and in the desert] are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’” Pray special blessings on Christians as they preach, teach, and model the good news of Jesus to the Nigerien people.
Most church multiplication movements have come with a high cost for following Christ. Pray that Nigerien believers will valiantly obey Jesus’ command in Matthew 10:26-27 “So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops.”
Matthew 14:1 “At that time Herod the tetrarch heard about the fame of Jesus.” Pray that the name of Jesus will be made famous among the Zarma.

Every church multiplication movement in history has had extraordinary prayer. Pray that people from all over the world will join in this prayer movement for the people of Niger.
Matthew 13:43 “Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.” Pray that at the “end of the age” the Zarma will be counted among the righteous of Christ and will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of God.

Psalm 9:20 “Strike them with terror, Lord; let the nations know they are only mortal.” Even though death is certain, our prayer is that the Nigerien people believe there is life eternal in God.
Every church multiplication movement in history has had abundant evangelism. Ask God that Nigerien Christians will have boldness to share the gospel with all of their Muslim neighbors.
Matthew 13:8 “And others (seeds) fell on good soil and yielded a crop, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Pray that the hearts of the Zarma would be good, fertile soil for the Word of God to take root.
The vision of the Pray for Niger global prayer movement is to have thousands of Christ followers praying daily for the gospel to spread in Niger. Pray for an ever-increasing number of prayer warriors as this effort expands. Spread the word to those you believe might like to join in!
Ask God to raise up prayer teams who will begin breaking up the spiritual soil of Niger through worship and intercession for the key people groups of this country.
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Pray that the Nigerien people will no longer trust in themselves, but find that only God is worthy of our trust.
Most church planting movements have occurred in a climate of uncertainty in society. Ask God to advance Niger’s church multiplication movement in the midst of the current political/social uncertainty.
